A rare and exciting opportunity exists to join one of Australia’s most well respected and fastest growing international development organisations – The Fred Hollows Foundation. We have an ambitious 5 year strategic plan that aims to take The Foundation even closer to realising our vision of ending avoidable blindness.

Due to a secondment, a new opportunity has become available for an institutional donor professional. As the DFAT Coordinator, you will coordinate and deliver the DFAT portfolio and act as a key contact who will manage The Foundation’s engagement with DFAT and DFAT partners around the ANCP Funding Mechanism. In this role, you will develop and maintain effective strategic relationships and build the capacity of staff across The Foundation to ensure DFAT obligations and expectations are met. You will also facilitate, coordinate and administer grants, contracts, agreements and reports, including the formulation and implementation of compliance measures.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have solid grants and program management experience with institutional donors, including budget development and monitoring. You are tertiary qualified in a relevant field and are knowledgeable around DFAT and its requirements, donor contracts and agreements, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks. You have the ability to effectively coordinate and manage a large and complex portfolio, whilst working professionally, collaboratively and consultatively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. Critical to your success will be your positive, and self-motivated approach, as well as negotiation, organizational and time management skills to ensure you manage expectations and conflicting deadlines.
